Annual Chico State Musical, "The Music Man," Presented May 1-5 in Laxson Auditorium

Beautiful Laxson Auditorium is the place to be May 1st through 5th when CSU, Chico presents a grand-scale production of "The Music Man."

This family-friendly musical directed by Suasan Hargrave Pate, Department of Music and Theatre faculty member, features beautiful sets and costumes, show-stopping dance numbers, and an orchestra conducted by North State Symphony maestro Kyle Wiley Pickett. The cast includes talented Chico State actors, Chico community performers, and local school children.

The musical will take you back to 1912 River City in Iowa where dubious professor Harold Hill tries to con the locals into buying band music and uniforms for their children. Will he succeed and skip town with the loot, or will his plans change after he meets the beautiful town librarian?

Purchase tickets at the University Box Office (x6333) in advance for best seats.
