Kinesiology Professor Wins Fulbright to Conduct Research in Ireland

California State University, Chico kinesiology professor Kevin Patton received a Fulbright Specialist Award to conduct research for six weeks in Limerick, Ireland.

A kinesiology professor with an interest in teacher education, Patton arrived in Limerick on Sept. 16 to work with faculty in the Physical Education, Physical Activity and Youth Sport Research Centre at the University of Limerick. There, he is developing a research agenda on teacher professional learning and the role of teacher educators and communities of practice. He is also consulting University of Limerick faculty on the effectiveness of their teacher education program.
