North State Symphony Presents "Experience Charm" Concert Feb. 24th in Laxson Auditorium

The North State Symphony’s first concert of the new year shines a spotlight on the last great work written by the greatest composer of all time — Mozart’s charming and powerful Symphony No. 41, “Jupiter.”

Also on the program is Barber’s Violin Concerto, “Mvt. 1,”  featuring 2012 Young Artist Audition Winner Nellie Ponarul, and Honegger’s delicate and graceful Symphony No. 4. 

The Chico-area performance of “Experience Charm” takes place Sunday, February 24th at 2 p.m. in Laxson Auditorium. For tickets call the University Box Office, x6333. A talk by NSS conductor (and Chico State music professor) Kyle Wiley Pickett precedes the concert at 1 p.m. in Rowland-Taylor Recital Hall (PAC 134).

A Redding-area performance of  “Experience Charm” takes place Saturday, February 23rd at 7:30 p.m. at the Cascade Theatre.
