California Pre-Doctoral Scholars Program
California Pre-Doctoral Program 2013-2014 applications are now available online at www.calstate.edu/predoc
The California Pre-Doctoral Program supports the doctoral aspirations of CSU students by providing a $3,000 grant to selected students to assist with the costs of preparing for and applying to Ph.D. programs during the 2013-2014 academic year including fees, travel, and conferences.
Applicants must be upper-division undergraduate or graduate students who are enrolled at a CSU institution as of spring 2013 and for at least one semester of the academic year 2013-2014. Applicants will be selected on the basis of three criteria: potential for success in completing a doctoral program, probable effectiveness of the student/faculty plan, and level of economic and educational disadvantage. All applicants must be either U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Each applicant must have a faculty sponsor for the duration of the plan specified in the application.
The Chico State campus deadline for submission of applications is Friday, March 1, 2013 by 4:00 p.m. Submit an original application plus 3 copies to the Office of Graduate Studies in Student Service Center, room 460 on or before the deadline date.
