Welcome	to the Department of Anthropology's Ethnographic Lab. This is the Virtual Room of the real Ethnographic Lab located in Butte 305. Semester Hours Monday: 8:00 to 5:00 Tuesday: 8:00 to 5:00 Wednesday: 8:00 to 5:00 Thursday: 8:00 to 5:00 Friday: 8:00 to 1:00 Note: The lab is maintained by the volunteer labor of anthropology students. Occasionally the lab may not be open during these hours; we hope you will be patient (or agree to volunteer to help maintain hours convenient for students.) The lab is equipped with computers (Mac and PC) with internet access, print and slide scanners, color and laserjet printers, and a wide variety of software useful to anthropologists. Lab interns will assist you in using this equipment and run frequent tutorials on the equipment and software.
Student Projects	Students in the department of anthropology engage in field research endeavors as a part of class activities and during summer vacations. The best of these are on display here.
Ethnographic Archives	The Department of Anthropology is sponsoring an archive of documents based on field data collected by our own cultural anthropologists. These documents are for the use of our students and of visitors from the Web. See "On the Value of Ethnographic Archives in Teaching"
Slide Archives	This resource will archive the large slide collections of the several members of the cultural anthropology faculty as a searchable database. A sample of the future site is available now.
