Dr. Charles Urabanowicz, a Ph.D. in Anthropology, is known for his passion for the Father of Evolutionary thought, Charles Darwin. Is it because they share the name? Or is it because Dr. Urbanowicz can see the evolutionary cycle in every aspect of life? I believe it is the latter, for Dr. Urbanowicz pulls his students into his lectures by constantly reminding them to look at life through critical but understanding eyes. "Remember to keep in mind the context of the times!" he states poetically. Dr. Urbanowicz is an enthusiastic teacher that is never limited in his thought process. He has a remarkable talent for seeing the interconnectedness of the world, literally and technologically. Dr. Urbanowicz has taken his love for Darwin and has added the realm of the technological age. An example of this in seen in his 1998 article titled "Darwin and Modernism: From the Industrial Revolution Through the Origin of Species and Beyond!" Among keeping to the daily rigor of instructing Anthropology classes, guest lecturing, and writing articles for publications, Dr. Urbanowicz is in the process of making a film of his work on Darwin as well as making a CD-Rom interactive Darwin timeline (which should be up soon!). For more information regarding Dr. Urbanowicz's work on Darwin the campus paper, the Orion, has published an article which can be linked up to through this site (click on "the Orion").
