Instructor: Dr. P. Willey

Office and Office Hours: 302 Butte Hall, 898-4793, T 1:30-3:30, W 2-4, Th 9:30-10:30

Grading

This is a credit/no credit class. No incompletes will be permitted. To receive a passing grade (credit), you must attend all forums and select one of three options.

Option 1.

Write ten (10) one-page reaction papers. These papers must be based on the presentations given at the forum and provide some reaction, analysis or evaluation to demonstrate you active involvement in interpreting and synthesizing the information presented. Summary or descriptive narrative indicates no such involvement and will not be accepted. The paper must be turned in at the beginning of the next forum.

Option2.

Five (5) reaction papers (see above), and you locate, schedule and introduce one speaker. Note: the speaker's topic must be of an anthropological nature, and both the speaker and topic must be cleared through Dr. Willey during the first two s of the semester.

Option 3.

You present a forum. You select an anthropological topic and present it to the forum audience. Again, your topic must be cleared through Dr. Willey in the first two s of the semester. With this option, no reaction papers are required, although attendance is mandatory.
