Chartfields
The Chart of Accounts is the field and value providing a common language for classifying campus business transactions. The components making up the Chart of Accounts and providing an overall structure are called 'Chartfields'. A combination of chartfields is referred to as a Chartfield String. The chartfields are the integration fields that feed accounting entries into the Common Financial System(CFS)/PeopleSoft.
The course is an introduction to Chartfields and a prerequisite to the Insight Reporting class. To enroll in the CFS Chartfield course, email Financials, or contact Carol Rudolph x6739.

Insight Reporting is the program used by the campus to extract data from the Common Financial System(CFS)/PeopleSoft and deliver it to the end user in report form. Transactions entered into CFS/PeopleSoft during the workday are fed over night to a data warehouse and made available the next business day for inquiry using Insight Reports.
The CFS Chartfield course is a prerequisite to the Insight Reporting course. To enroll in the Chartfield or Insight course, e-mail Financials or contact Carol Rudolph, x6739.

Requisition Entry 9.0
Requisitions are processed using the Common Financial System (CFS)/PeopleSoft. Completion of the Requisition Entry course is required prior to accessing CFS/PeopleSoft. The course provides instruction for entering, approving and printing a Requisition. Submission of a completed Financials Security form is required. The security form will be emailed after course registration.
