B.S. in Applied Computer Graphics

Like the computer graphics discipline, this degree program takes an interdisciplinary approach to learning.  This means that students will draw upon the expertise of faculty from various departments on campus and will work in collaborative project teams.  The coursework for the major spans many departments: Art, Communication Design, Computer Science, Physical Education, and Theatre.  In addition to the core computer graphics courses, students in these majors are required to in either Art Studio or Communication Design that contain all the coursework for a minor in each discipline.  Due to the technical nature of the BS in Applied Computer Graphics Option in Technical, students pursuing this major and option plan also complete the coursework for a minor in Computer Science.  The degree program is designed to enable students to develop their skills in a particular area of interest such as computer graphics, computer animation, web development, graphics software engineering, and computer game design and programming.
