||Open Practice Sessions
The Chico State men's soccer team has put aside four dates that will allow perspective players to practice with the team. Partcipants must have finished their senior season of high school soccer. This is an NCAA regulation that is applicable whether you play for your high school team or not. The regulation also stipulates that at the Division II level the perspective student athlete is limited to one practice with the team. Junior College players must have permission from their coach.
Dates of open practice sessions:
Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at 4:00
Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at 4:00
Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at 4:00
Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at 4:00
Practices will be held at the Chico State soccer stadium on campus. (corner of West Sacramento Ave. and Warner Street)
Who can try out:
Any prospective Student Athlete that has completed their Senior year of high school soccer.
J.C. Players must have permission from their coach.
Four-year transfer students must be released from existing institution.
What to bring:
Your own training gear - shoes, shorts, shirt, etc...
Letter from High School athletic director confirming that they know you will be practicing with the team. (High school students only)
What to expect:
High level of competition
It's best to come fit. The level is higher and the game is faster than you think. For the most part you will be playing seven-a-side games with other prospects and our existing players.
