Accessible Technology Initiative

Accessible Technology Initiative

The California State University (CSU) has an ongoing commitment to “make information technology resources and services accessible to all CSU students, faculty, staff and the general public regardless of disability."  The Accessible Technology Initiative (ATI)(opens in new window) provides the resources, tools, training and expertise for the CSU system to ensure that the instructional materials and technology used is accessible to all.

There are three main priorities outlined in the initiative. These include Web Accessibility, Instructional Materials, and Electronic & Information Technology (E&IT) Procurement.

As part of the Accessible Technology Initiative (ATI) work plan from the Chancellor's Office, Chico representatives participate in campus and CSU system committees to develop guidelines, implementation strategies, tools, and resources.
