CSU, Chico - Ballroom Classes

CSU, Chico offers several different beginning and intermediate ballroom dance classes. Each class covers several different dances, though the selection depends upon each instructor. Typically, beginning classes include Swing, Foxtrot, Waltz, Tango, Street Hustle, Cha-Cha, and may optionally touch on Salsa or Rhumba. More advanced forms of these dances are often taught in the intermediate classes, which may also cover West Coast Swing, Lindy Hop, Night Club, Mambo, and Samba. (Intermediate dance selection varies by semester and instructor.)

Recurring Lessons

ELIGIBLE: Participants in the Intensive Workshops M-TH 9-11 pm need to be CSUC students. CSUC students do not need to be a BDC member. Nights are offered as intensive workshops or labs. Must show your current student ID to participate.

BDC Workshops

It is recommended that students know some basic steps and 3-4 advanced moves for the listed dance before attending a workshop. There will be several workshops geared for beginners.
