Use Guidelines and Regulations

The Mission of the CSU Chico Research Foundation Ecological Reserve System is to preserve critical habitat and to provide a natural area for environmental research and education.

An Entry Permit is required. All persons must carry the permit at all times. Call 530-898-5010 for permit information or questions. Entry is walk-in only unless the user is a student or faculty conducting research, or the user is attending one of the scheduled nature hikes.

No pets

No automobiles, ATVs, dirt bikes, bicycles, or horses

No collecting of plants, animals, rocks, fossils, or artifacts

No swimming

No firearms

No fires or camping

Hunting and fishing are allowed during specific times by permit only and State Fish and Game Regulations

No access is permitted to non-hunters on hunting days.

Violations will be prosecuted under
Title 14, Section 630, of the California Code of Regulations.
