Producing Top Animation

Chico State's Applied Computer Graphics program has been producing top animated films for more than a decade.

• At the CSU Media Arts Festival, Chico State students have won “Best Animation” nine times and the coveted “Best in Show” four times.
• Continuing the tradition of excellence, at the 2010 Media Arts Festival Chico students won second place in the interactive media category and third place in animation.
• Chico students won first and second place in the animation category in 2009.
• In 2009, the program received the prestigious Telly Award for its work on the PBS documentary 400 Years of the Telescope from the Emmy Award-winning Interstellar Studios.
• In 2006 the judges awarded the first four places in animation to Chico films.
