These workshops, sponsored by Friends of The Chico State Herbarium, are the main source of funding by which the Friends support the functioning of The Chico State Herbarium, in addition to their own activities (see the Friends of the Herbarium home page for more information). Especially in these times of State budget cuts, money raised through these workshops gives the Friends of the Herbarium the ability to help fund the staff and facilities of The Chico State Herbarium, in order to continue the public service and curatorial care of the valuable collection of scientific and reference botanical specimens that is core of the herbarium.
