Research Interests
I am interested in understanding the genetic mechanisms controlling gene expression by
which bacteria adapt and survive in hostile environments. Desiccation, radiation, hot and 
cold temperatures, presence of oxidizing agents and antibiotics are just a few of
the hostile environments to which bacteria have evolved survival mechanisms.
