CSU, Chico | College of Behavioral and Social Sciences | About the College | Child Development
The Child Development Program offers a clear example of the significance of internship experiences. Students are required to have internships in three upper division courses. A large group of these students intern on campus at the Associated Students Children's Center/Child Development Laboratory, working with children from infancy through age five. Each semester, faculty also supervise approximately 100 students, mostly seniors, placed in agencies all over the region. There are approximately 115 agencies that offer internships to child development students, providing a valuable opportunity to pair agencies with students based on student career interests and skills.
