Child Development

Judy BordenGreetings and welcome to the Child Development Program!  We are pleased that you are interested in the Child Development major.

Our majors have over 250 hours of supervised fieldwork with children and their families. We have a partnership with the nationally accredited Associated Students Child Development Laboratory (ASCDL) where our students learn about and teach infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Our Child Development Student Association performs many service activities for the campus and community.

Our graduates work in various areas: early childhood education, elementary and special education, social work, nonprofit agencies, and private businesses. Many of our students continue to earn their master’s degrees in developmental studies, family relations, psychology, or education.

We look forward to having you as one of our majors.
