Welcome to sociology! Do you have a passion for studying social groups? Do you have a vision for a just society? If so, our program is for you. Our curriculum combines the theoretical and research traditions of sociology with hands-on practice whenever possible. Our graduates benefit from a liberal arts education that concentrates on contemporary society and social problems; equally they are well-rounded job candidates. Some pursue graduate training in sociology. Most enter a variety of fields, including careers in criminal justice, law, human resources, student services, social work, public service, education, health services, youth services, and counseling. Future employers will recognize the quality of your CSU, Chico sociology degree.
