The College of Behavioral and Social Sciences offers over 75 scholarships providing financial support to students majoring in one of our fine 11 academic programs. Available scholarships range in value from modest financial assistance to full financial support, some are based on financial need and others are based on academic merit.
Applying for a scholarship is easy. Visit the university scholarship page to apply through a simple one-application process. Online applications will open in December 2016. If you are a high achieving student and plan to attend CSU, Chico fall 2017, we invite you to apply for an Academic and Performance scholarship. This scholarship is for incoming freshman or transfer students who are attending California State University, Chico for the first time. To qualify you must have an incoming GPA of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale), enroll minimum of 12 units in fall and spring semesters, and major in one of the academic programs offered in the college; see the application form for a listing of majors offered in the college. The College of Behavioral and Social Sciences (BSS) is pleased to announce that funds have been donated by Chuck Nelson, former Director of the Geographical Information Center, for a program titled Student Awards for Research and Creativity in Geographical Informational Systems. Two and up to five awards between $500 and $1,000 are available. All qualified students at California State University, Chico are encouraged to apply. Award information and the application can be downloaded at Creativity GIS award. Deadline for applications is February 15, 2017.
