ARI (Agricultural Research Institute) T8512 Research and technology transfer activities complement the basic research conducted by the nation's land grant universities and aim to improve the economic viability and sustainability of California agriculture.

WRPI (Water Resources and Policy Initiatives) T8514 Develops water management solutions through research, partnership, education and training that provides students with hands-on learning.

CSUPERB (CSU Program for Education and Research in Biotechnology) T8510 Develops professional biotechnology workforce by mobilizing and supporting collaborative CSU students and faculty research, innovating education practices, and responding to and anticipating the needs of the life science industry.

RSCA (Research Scholarly, and Creative Activities) T8515 These funds are only to be used in support of faculty research, scholarly, and creative activities in accordance with article 25.6 of the collective bargaining agreement.

Lottery $1.3 Million Generated from the sale of California State Lottery tickets, a portion of which is allocated to CSU campuses. Lottery funds must be used for instructional purposes only and must supplement not supplement state funding of instruction.

IRA (Instructionally Related Activities) $4.3 Million Generated by mandatory fees paid by all students as part of their registration fees. These funds are used for out-of-classroom activities and experiences integrally related to the instructional offering, including athletics and recreational sports.

Campus Partner Funds Funds are generated from the Continuing Education Revenue Fund (CERF) and distributed to the Provost and colleges for program development.

Continuing Education Funds $5.4 Million CERF is comprised of the campus-approved per unit fees collected from students enrolling in self-support course offerings through Regional & Continuing Education. http://rce.csuchico.edu/
Parking $1.4 Million Campus parking facilities are not supported by taxpayer dollars, but are instead self-supporting. They are paid for by the users of the facilities through payment of parking fees.

Housing $24 Million Funds generated from student fees for residence hall living/learning experiences. Housing operations are considered self-supporting and not supported by taxpayer dollars.

Miscellaneous Trust Funds These trust funds include various quasi self-support activities that operate in tangent with the CSU operating fund. They include separate revenue sources that are not related to State support or Student Fees.

Associated Students (AS) $22 Million Under a student government umbrella, operates bookstore, dining services, student union and student programs.

University Foundation (UF) $11 Million Responsible for solicitation, acceptance and administration of gifts to the University.
