National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week Activities
Each year events are held on campus to increase awareness of alcohol-related issues and problems. Last year's speaker event was "Sober Reflections" featuring Dylan Smith, Kevin Hallmeyer, on Wednesday, October 24th at 7 PM in the BMU auditorium.
Fun Without Alcohol Fair
Alternatives to alcohol and drugs are explored and promoted at this fun, day-long community event aimed at school-aged children within Butte County. A variety of student and community groups provide entertainment and sponsor interactive games, activities and booths for young people with a no alcohol or drug use message. Special Educational Forums
Each spring CADEC puts on a forum on a current drug-related topic such as ecstasy or designer drugs and invites a well-known speaker to address students.
Survivor Workshop Series
Fun, free interactive workshops designed to help first-year students be successful in college. Workshops cover a variety of adjustment to college issues including: alcohol & high risk drinking, sexual responsibility, time management, study skills, nutrition, homesickness and personal stress issues.
