Important Labor Day Safety Notice Please be aware that Alcohol is banned on the Sacramento River (and on the shore) throughout the entire Labor Day weekend. The Alcohol Ban will be strictly enforced. This ban is in effect to protect everyone’s safety and hopefully avoid further tragic loss of life or other accidents. CADEC collaborates with campus and community groups, local law enforcement and environmental organizations on a campaign to make Labor Day weekend in the Chico community as safe as possible with the least negative environmental impact. Posters, radio ads and billboards are used to promote safer tubing practices and to encourage environmental awareness.
