National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week

Each year CADEC hosts National Alcohol Awareness Week in preparation for the Halloween weekend!

CADEC plans many activities to entertain and educate students, here was the schedule of Fall 2016!

Monday - Oct. 24

  • Tabling in the Gauntlet 10 am - 2 pm 
    It's lit, take some tips!
    CADEC peer educators have some great Halloween safety tips if you choose to go out this weekend, stop by to chat and be sure to pick up your Boograms!

Tuesday – Oct. 25

  • Tabling in Trinity Commons 10 am - 2 pm
    Are you in good hands?
    Come talk with CADEC about a time that you were there for a friend, and if you want to, share your story by writing it on paper ghoul hands!
  • Wildcat ROAR! Training
    Halloween Edition
    SSC 122/124 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm

Wednesday – Oct. 26

  • Tabling in the Gauntlet 10 am - 2 pm
    Pills & Potions 
    Come learn some information on the effect of mixing prescription drugs and alcohol.

Thursday – Oct. 27

  • Tabling in Trinity Commons 10 am - 2 pm
    Buzz on Buzz
    Join CADEC peer educators for a game of Buzzopoly exploring topics of drinking behaviors such as hangovers, tolerance, limits, and more!

Going out tips

Be sure to be aware of your surroundings, especially on Halloween weekend! If you plan on going out, be sure to keep these safety tips in mind!

  • Limit pre-gaming
  • Arrive with your friends, leave with your friends
  • Drink plenty of water
  • Eat before going out
  • Charge your cell phone, and always keep it on you
  • Attend a Wildcat ROAR! training for more info!
