Understanding Hurricanes

The department of Geological and Environmental Sciences will be hosting a seminar called "Understanding Hurricanes." A few of our excellent faculty will be presenting different topics from a scientific perspective that relate directly to the tragic events affecting our country today and in the past month. These topics will include:

·    Fundamentals, Tools, and Forecasting Hurricanes (Shane Mayor)

·    Relationship between Hurricanes & Global Warming (Ann Bykerk-Kauffman)

·    Flooding Effects (Sandrine Matiasek with help from Dave Brown)
