Economics, Ethics and the Good Society
Michael Perelman is Professor of Economics at CSU, Chico and is the recipient of the 2010 award for Outstanding Achievement in Political Economy of the 21st Century from the World Association of Political Economy.
Prof. Perelman has authored 19 books including The Confiscation of American Prosperity, The Perverse Economy, and his new book, The Invisible Handcuffs: How Market Tyranny Stifles the Economy by Stunting Labor.
Michael Perelman received his Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1971. He has been a visiting scholar at the University of Paris and at Stanford University. His work has been translated into Spanish, Chinese, Korean, Serbian and Japanese.
In this talk, Prof. Perelman will explore economic theory’s curious relationship with society and ethics.
