Who should attend the Local Job Fair?
This event is open to employers within a 50 mile radius of Chico looking to fill part-time, internship and career positions. It is a great opportunity to interact with students exploring the community and job/internship options available in this area. The fair typically attracts between 700-900 students. Students of all majors and class levels are encouraged to attend. The majority of attendees are usually freshmen.

Ten steps to a successful career fair experience for employers

Employer fees:
Basic Business/Government Package: $100
• Includes 6x2 foot table and two chairs
• Light refreshments
• Wireless internet access
Up to three representatives allowed per table.

Non-Profit Package: $50
• Includes 6x2 foot table and two chairs
• Light refreshments
• Wireless internet access
Up to three representatives allowed per table.

CSU, Chico Package: No cost
[CSU,Chico Departments, Associated Students and Research Foundation only]
• Includes 6x2 foot table and two chairs
• Light refreshments
Up to three representatives allowed per table.

Payment Information:
Payment can be made by check, credit card (Visa or MasterCard), purchase order or cash. Please include a printout of your invoice if you are sending your payment via check.  Make checks payable to CSU, Chico Career Center - Local Job Fair, and mail to 400 West First Street, Chico, CA 95929-0700. If you would like to pay by credit card, you may pay by logging into your Handshake account or via the link on your invoice. If you have questions about your payment, please call 530-898-5253.  Payments will be accepted without penalty through the day of the event.

*NEW* FREE PARKING AREA
Limited parking is now available in the Newman Center grassy parking lot at the corner of Cherry and Fourth Streets (NOTE: DO NOT park in the paved lot).  The lot will accommodate approximately 30 cars. If you plan to park in this lot, we suggest that you arrive early (1:30 p.m.) in order to secure a spot. You will receive a parking permit upon arrival at the lot.
• Arrival - plan to arrive between 1:30 -2:30 p.m. Table placement is “first come, first choice."
• Departure - We ask that you do not pack and leave the auditorium until the fair closes at 6 PM as students may be planning to arrive after classes.

What to bring:
• Handouts about your organization, internship and job announcements, business cards, give-aways, tablecloth and display items and applications, if needed.
• A sign for your table with your organization's name on it and a cloth to cover the table. The tables will be 6x2 feet long with 2 chairs (table-top displays are fine).
• Long extension cords if you need access to an electrical outlet.

Post your job/internship:
One of the best ways to increase interest in your organization is through job postings. Please post available positions on Handshake.  Step-by-step instructions for joining Handshake and posting a job can be found here.
