University Photo Server
Project Description
Since going digital in photography about seven years ago, the University's photo assets have become more difficult to manage due to quantity and formats needed by various audiences. Using technology and software already available on campus, it is possible for the photography department to post photos to a server that will allow the campus community to browse University photos as well as request a copy of a photo in a particular format.
The Meriam Library has a license of Extensis Portfolio product and has a server that houses digital photographs. Information Resources will extend the use of this software and technology to make the University's photos more readily available to the campus.
