Course Requirements for the Minor: 21 units
The following courses, or their approved transfer equivalents,
are required of all candidates for this minor.

RECR 010 Foundations
Leisure/Recreation 3.0 FS
This course must be taken before or concurrently with the first
courses taken in the minor.

RECR 020 Foundations
of Programming 3.0 FS
Prerequisites: Concurrent enrollment in or
prior completion of RECR 010 or faculty permission.
RECR 040 Outdoor
Recreation Systems 3.0 FS
Prerequisites: Concurrent enrollment in or
prior completion of RECR 010; or faculty permission.
RECR 050 Hospitality
Industry Intro 3.0 FS
RECR 060 Intro to
Special Populations 3.0 FS
Prerequisites: Concurrent enrollment in or
prior completion of RECR 010 or faculty permission.
RECR 170A Commercial

RECR 191 Leadership/Supervision

RECR 240 Environ/Comprehensive

Prerequisites: RECR 010; concurrent enrollment in or prior completion
of RECR 040 and RECR 200; completion of computer literacy requirement;
or faculty permission.
RECR 280 Management
of Recreation/Parks 3.0 FS
Prerequisites: ENGL 001 (or its equivalent) with a grade of C-
or higher; successful completion of computer literacy requirement;
RECR 010; RECR 191; one course chosen from RECR 020, RECR 040, RECR
050, or RECR 060; senior standing.
One petitioned upper-division recreation course may be substituted
for a course in the above grouping with advance approval from the
adviser and department chair.

Departmental approval is required before you begin course work
for this minor. Approval can be obtained by providing written notice
of your intention to declare this minor to the department office.
