Master Planning Our Sustainable Campus
In 2005 the University made sustainability one of the strategic objectives in the newly updated Master Plan. This thorough study helps create a future vision of the physical design and direction of Chico State for the next 20 years. Planning includes both the city campus and the 1400 acre University farm.
Great attention is paid to our residential neighbors, downtown Chico, the Bidwell Mansion, Native American sites, Chico High School and adjoining historic districts. Careful planning, preservation of historic campus buildings, and adapting green architecture will move Chico State toward sustainability.
