The CCHE will hold its fifth annual conference, September 24th-25th, 2010, in the University Union on the campus of California State University, Sacramento. Highlights include a keynote address by Dr. Robin Einhorn of UC Berkeley on Friday the 24th and featured speaker Dr. Fritz Fischer of the University of Northern Colorado on Saturday the 25th. Standards-based content lectures by university scholars, field-tested lessons by teachers, and presentations by participants in, and directors of, Teaching American History grants from throughout the state round out the program. Why not lead a session yourself? Submit a proposal by March 31 to make a presentation at the conference; if your proposal is accepted, you'll receive a complimentary registration! Download the Presenter Guidelines and Application.

Registration Information
An “early bird” conference registration fee of just $65 for CCHE/NCHE members and $105 for non-members is in effect through May 31, 2010. Beginning June 1 registration fees will be $85 and $125, respectively. Students may register for just $35. Registration fees for non-members and students include one-year memberships in both the CCHE and its parent organization, the National Council for History Education! Click here to register.

Hotel Information
There is no official conference hotel. Instead, the CCHE has negotiated special rates for conference attendees at a number of Sacramento hotels and motels for substantially less than what conference hotels charge. Click here for an annotated list.
