Each booth is 10' x 10' and includes 3' high draped side rails and 8' high draped backdrape. A 7'' x 44'' sign with your booth number and company name is provided. The booth space is carpeted. No furnishings are included with your booth space. Furniture rental and other exhibitor services will be available through Curtin Convention & Exposition Services, Inc. Exhibit Hall Events:
An Opening Reception will be held in the exhibit hall from 6:15-7:30 pm on Thursday
September 24, and a Door-prize GIveaway from 1:30-2:00 pm on Saturday September 26. It is in your best interest to make the latter event as successful as possible, so consider donating a prize or prizes to be given away. A free Cyber Cafe will be available for conference attendee use throughout the hours that exhibits are open on Friday and Saturday.
Conflict-Free Exhibit Times:
Conflict-free exhibit times, when no sessions will be held and attendees encouraged to visit the exhibit hall, are scheduled from 9:30-10:00 am on both Friday and Saturday, September 25 and 26.
Booths reserved by May 1, 2009 rent for $300; on or after May 1 the cost is $375. Repeat exhibitors who exhibited at a previous CCHE conference will receive a 30% discount off these rates!
Exhibit booths will be reserved upon receipt of the completed Exhibitor Application. Confirmation of booth reservation will be sent via email. Booth reservation can be made by mail or FAX. To reserve booths, complete the Exhibitor Application and mail it to CCHE Exhibits, History Department, CSU Chico, Chico CA 95929-0735, or FAX to (530) 898-6925.
Payment can be made by check, money order, or purchase order (government agencies only). To pay by check or money order, make the check or money order payable to “CSU Chico Research Foundation ” and mail it to the address shown on the Exhibitor Application form. There is a $30 charge for returned checks. Reservations not paid in full within 90 days of receipt of application will be subject to forfeiture. All payments must be received no later than September 10, 2009.
Each booth reservation includes complimentary conference registrations for two booth attendants, with up to a total of four complimentary conference registrations for exhibitors reserving more than one booth. Additional booth attendants must pay registration fees to attend ($65 for CCHE members, $105 for non-members before June 1, 2009; $85 and $125 on or after June 1, 2009). Name badges will be issued as indicated on the Exhibitor Application. Exhibitors are required to wear badges at all times when in the Exhibit Hall.
Exhibitors shall not set up or tear down their exhibit space during exhibit hours. Any exhibit space not occupied by the start of exhibit hours may be cancelled without refund and reassigned by CCHE.
All exhibitors are responsible for being aware of, and adhering to, the following policies.
Exhibitors are invited to sponsor or co-sponsor events during the conference, including the welcome reception and two lunches. These events will take place in the exhibit hall; sponsors will be publicly recognized during the events they sponsor. Click here for more information and a Sponsorship Application form.

Curtin Convention & Exposition Services, Inc., will post an Exhibitor Service Kit (ESK) within 90 days of the conference on their website, www.curtinconvention.com. All confirmed Exhibitors will receive an email providing a Username/Password to access the ESK. The ESK describes your options for ordering equipment and services, such as furniture, labor, plant/floral, computer, audiovisual, electrical, Internet access, and telecom. If you have not received the email by July 1, 2009, please contact Dianna Curtin at (415) 883-7818 or dianna@curtinconvention.com.
Shipment of equipment and supplies must be arranged by Exhibitors. For the Exhibitors’ convenience, an Advance Freight Receiving Warehouse address will be provided in the Curtin Convention ESK. This freight handling service includes receiving your freight at the Curtin Warehouse, transporting it to the Exhibit Hall, placing it in your assigned booth space, storing your empty containers during the conference, returning your empty containers at the close of the conference, and assisting with outbound shipments via Yellow Transportation. You may only ship exhibit materials directly to the facility on September 24th. Curtin Convention will be on-site to accept deliveries. Materials shipped to the facility earlier than September 24th may be refused by the facility. All deliveries to the facility will be charged the standard freight handling fees. Rates for Freight Handling Services are listed in the ESK posted on www.curtinconvention.com. Exhibit space reservations may be canceled if written notification is received by the CCHE on or before July 1, 2009. In such event, a refund of exhibit space fees will be given, minus a $50 handling charge. There will be no refunds for exhibit space cancellations received after July 1, 2009. Neither the conference nor the CCHE, nor any of their officers, agents, employees, affiliates or other representatives shall be held liable for, and they are hereby released from liability for, any damage, loss, harm or injury to the person or property of the exhibitor or any of its officers, agents, employees or other representatives, resulting from theft, fire, water, accident or any other cause. The exhibitor shall also indemnify and hold harmless CCHE, the CSU Chico Research Foundation, and the Hilton Orange County/Costa Mesa Hotel and its owners and service agents from demands, suits, liability, damages, loss, costs, attorneys’ fees and expenses of whatever kind of nature, including but not limited to, claims of damage or loss resulting from the breach of these terms, conditions and rules, claims of property or personal injury caused by or attributable in whole or in part to any action or failure to act whether by negligence or otherwise, on the part of the exhibitor or any of its officers, agents, employees or other representatives, and claims of damage or loss to any third party resulting from an infringement of a copyright or patent or the unauthorized use of a registered trademark.
The use of amplification, recordings, videos, slides or other audio-visual devices is permissible; however, the sound volume of any such device must not exceed that of normal conversation voice level or be objectionable to neighboring exhibitors.
The exhibit hall will be locked during non-exhibit hours. However, liability for all equipment and materials remains with the individual exhibitor.
All demonstrations and interviews must be conducted within your assigned booth space. All exhibitor-printed materials, souvenirs and other articles must be distributed within your assigned booth space. Aisle space must be kept clear to permit the smooth flow of traffic. Distribution of printed materials, souvenirs and other articles in the registration area, common areas outside the exhibit hall, meeting rooms, or food and beverage areas is prohibited. The operation of lotteries or games of chance is permitted within applicable law. CCHE reserves the right to prohibit the distribution of items it deems objectionable or otherwise inappropriate.
