The Digital Filmmakers Guild (DFG) is a student group interested in going beyond the boundaries of traditional video production coursework. The guild is composed of Media Arts majors as well as other campus individuals who desire to express themselves via the electronic media.
SMASH is a student video festival held near the end of every semester. Students submit work they have completed in or out of class. Entries are then judged by professionals working in the industry. Awards are given after the conclusion of the SMASH presentation.
This course uses screenings of film, video, music and television to discuss the relationships between society, culture, and the media.
This special session of the Video Workshop course will be devoted to recording and production of of live music events.
