Fundamentals of Engineering Exam

The Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, also known as the Engineer-in-Training (EIT) exam, is a statewide examination that is the first step in professional licensure for engineers. Most civil engineering majors take the exam prior to graduation, usually during their junior year.

Student may apply to take the examination through the California Department of Consumer Affairs.

Students may seek reimbursement of the examination fee by applying for an Ingersoll EIT Grant from the California Society of Professional Engineers Education Foundation.

Fun Stuff
