Dr. Jillian Kinzie
Keynote address: “The Promise of High-Impact Practices: Pedagogies and Practices that Foster Student Learning & Success”
Dr. Jillian Kinzie as the Associate Director for the Center of Postsecondary Research and NSSE institute has been a prolific scholar--see her home page at Indiana University, Bloomington for her complete Curriculum Vitae. The Journal of College Student Development has published her Project Muse research article. High-Impact Practices:Promoting Participation for All Students is a particularly relevant piece regarding student learning outcomes.
Kinzie's work has been featured in a Teaching and Learning Higher Education blog, which discusses issues from a theoretical and practical perspective.
A nationally noted expert on student learning, Dr. Kinzie was the keynote for the 32nd annual conference on the first year experience. She has also been a presenter with the Wiley Learning Institute as a webinar host speaking about the NSSE Data for Accreditation. In order to promote student learning success in high-impact practices she has spoken at numerous conferences.
A thriving and successful woman in research about higher education and student learning outcomes, she also is on ballot for District 2 seat Bloomington City Council.
In addition to giving our keynote at the CELT Conference, Dr. Jillian Kinzie will be holding two special workshops—one for faculty and staff, the other for students.
