CFA Chico is one of 23 California Faculty Association chapters in the CSU. CFA is the exclusive collective bargaining representative for California State University faculty. Our constituency includes tenure track, lecturer, librarian and counselor faculty. Primary among CFA's many objectives and responsibilities is its advocacy for affordable, accessible and quality education in the CSU. Through political lobbying efforts in the California legislature, CFA, either by itself or in concert with the CSU administration, seeks to protect and enhance the faculty's professional and economic interests.

In this ever changing world and challenging times, CFA remains committed to the advancement of academic freedom, upholding traditional faculty rights and promoting faculty, staff and student diversity. Through the bargaining process, CFA works diligently to deliver financial protections for the faculty as well as ensure a fair and equitable workload and professional workplace atmosphere. CFA is also dedicated to ensuring full faculty participation in the governance of CSU and in CFA. Through its close affiliation with other and in many cases larger professional labor organizations, CFA has built a strong political and economic base with which to effectively pursue its many goals and commitments. The Executive Committee of the Chico CFA chapter welcomes all who share the same goals and commitments to join your CFA Chico colleagues and work for the betterment of the California State University and its faculty via membership in and activity on behalf of CFA.
