BCC Spring 2012 Finalists
Each semester the Center holds a student Business Concept Competition. In spring 2012 over 70 students entered their ideas. The twenty finalists are pictured to the left. Over a thousand dollars in prize money from the Accelerator Fund at CSU Chico was awarded to the top five finalists. Winners included a rental portal; streamlined web access site; and a site for high quality music downloads. The Accelerator Fund at CSU, Chico supports emerging businesses and intellectual properties that show great potential.
Fund assets are used to support select entrepreneurial ventures, mobilize student teams, and acquire professionals that help entrepreneurs prepare their proposals for presentation to established investor groups.
Equity investments from the fund are structured to support optimum returns on investments while also allowing for a continuum of investments in newly identified entrepreneurial endeavors.
