Call for Abstracts

Physical Sciences

Faculty, students and clubs, present your original research or the activities of your club to the College, University and Community. The poster session is open to submissions by faculty, graduate and undergraduate students from the College of Natural Sciences. Abstracts are being accepted in the following categories.

  • Faculty only
  • Faculty and Graduate Students [can also include undergraduate students]
  • Faculty and Undergraduate Students only
  • Students only [graduate and/or undergraduate]
  • Student Clubs

The Program

7:30-8:30am: Set up

  • A (4' x 6') area and tacks will be available in BMU 100

9:00am-3:00pm: Open to the College, University and Community

1:00pm - 2:30pm: Poster Presenters available at posters

2:30pm: Reception

  • Refreshments will be available

3:00pm: Awards Ceremony

  • Announcement of the "People's Choice" awards will be made.

"People's Choice" Award

The posters will NOT be judged, rather, all session attendees will be invited to select a "People's Choice" in each of the following three categories.

  • Faculty and Graduate Students [can also include undergraduate students]
  • Faculty and Undergraduate Students only
  • Students only [graduate and/or undergraduate]
The Faculty-only and Student club posters will not be included in the "People's Choice" awards.

Abstract Submission

Download the abstract template, follow the instructions and submit as an email attachment to Randy Miller no later than Friday, March 28, 2008.

Poster Guidelines

  • Sample Posters can be obtained by contacting Randy Miller (x5259)
  • Please follow proper citation practices for all text and images used on your poster.
  • A (4' x 6') area will be available. When you enter BMU 100 please look at the sign indicating the Abstract Number of your poster, then proceed to the appropriate area.
