This is the first College of Natural Sciences Alumni Reunion which includes all of our departments; Biological Sciences, Chemistry and Biochemistry, Geological and Environmental Sciences, Mathematics and Statistics, School of Nursing, Nutrition and Food Sciences, Physics and Science Education.  1-4 pm, Moderate hike in the Big Chico Creek Ecological Reserve
Trip led by Dr. Don Miller - Transportation Provided

 1 pm, Tour of research labs. Visit with students and faculty and hear about their on-going research

Come and meet current students and learn about research and community service projects our students are doing.

Enjoy brunch and connect with alumni and friends of the department. Faculty will be there, including retired faculty members Dr. Faye Johnson, Dr. Evelyn Mar, and Dr. Barbara Kirks.

12:30-5 pm

Join the Sierra Oro Farm Trail and earn 3 CE units. $25 for the Passport Weekend. You will need to purchase a Passport ticket in advance at: and please also give us your attendee count in the box to the right. Transportation will be provided. On Saturday, we will be making three stops:

CSU, Chico University Farm
The 800-acre University Farm is the “living laboratory” for students in the CSU, Chico College of Agriculture. Working units include row crops, orchards and livestock. Walnuts, dry beans, olive oil, U-pick peaches and organic produce are sold seasonally.

The Worm Farm
The Worm Farm is renown throughout the USA and Canada for its composting red worms.

Patrick Ranch Museum
The Patrick Ranch Museum is the perfect place to learn about the importance of agriculture to the Great North Valley. The 28-acre Ranch gives the visitor the opportunity to learn about the local climate, soil and the abundant water supply. A must-see is the grand 1877 Glenwood farmhouse and the beautiful grounds that surround it.

Department of Physics

Join us for some good coffee, tea, and sweet treats as we find out what we've been up to since our last time together. We'll let you know about some of the interesting things that have been occurring here, at least we think they are interesting, and we can learn about what nerd joy you've been experiencing.
