Zombies in Chico?

Cathy Small Tuttle is looking forward to her annual metamorphosis into a zombie. She organizes the Chico participants in Thrill the World, a sort of global flash mob in which dancers all over the world perform simultaneously to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.”

Tuttle (BA, Liberal Studies, ’98; Credential, ’00; MA, Education, ’02), a local art teacher, loves the excitement of preparing for the event with a diverse crowd of 275 dancers. “We have young, old, families, friends, people on their own, and a group of adults with special needs that come out every year,” she says. “It amazes me how this iconic dance can reach across so many generations and people from all walks of life.”
