Resources and Tips for Parents of Children with ADHD

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a psychiatric disorder which involves symptoms that include inattention, overactivity, and impulsivity.  It must be noted, however, that children may exhibit some aspects of these behaviors due to age and gender.  According to the American Psychiatric Association, 3 to 5% of the childhood population are affected with this disorder.  Although ADHD can be challenging for children and their parents, there are many resources available to meet their special needs.
