Bio
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in sociology (interpersonal relations emphasis) at San Diego State. I had three children under the age of 5 when I started my graduate studies at Utah State. By the time I completed my Masters and Doctorate in human development and family relations, I had four children. My research and teaching interests are: attachment within couple and parent-child relationships across developmental periods, attachment, trauma recovery, and resiliency, fathering, developmental parenting, and research methods. I enjoy teaching and learning about these topics and helping students to see their value, personal and professional application, and usefulness. My husband and I have 6 children between us. When I’m not working, I enjoy traveling with my family, trail running, mountain biking, and hiking. I also love to design and create quilts.
