Grow With Us!
We invite you to grow with us by making a tax deductible donation to supoort the Child Development Program. The University and the Child Development Program now considers themselves “state assisted” instead of “state funded.” Therefore, we could use your help in numerous ways:
Give to the Unrestricted Fund:
You may designate an academic support service. These will subsidize student recruitment efforts, student travel to conferences (such as California Association for the Education of Young Children), equipment, academic technology purchases, or faculty professional development funds.
Give to the Windows to their World:
The need for the campaign began in 1998 when the sound system in the Child Development Laboratory (CDL) observation room (Modoc 127) started to show its age (34 years). At the present time, the audio and video upgrades have been completed. A major remodel in the “yard” met playground safety audit concerns. The next phase is a remodel of the playground, including an expansion of the space with a “trike” path. Contributions made to the Child Development Laboratory facility will be spent exclusively in the Modoc classroom. With the merger of the AS. Children’s Center and the Child Development Laboratory, new contributions to the Windows to their World fund will be shared among the expanded four classrooms (infant-preschool age) where Child Development students continue to complete their practicum and internship classes.
Give to an Established Scholarship Fund:
Scholarships have helped many students reach their goals. We have scholarships that are specific to students by location or class level. Please contact us for more information.
Donate a Product:
The program can use many things from new computers, academic technology, and children’s equipment. Please call first to make sure the item you wish to donate matches our needs.
Provide a Matching Gift:
Many employers will match the amount you give. Check with your personnel office for details.
For more information on any of the above gift opportunities, please contact Judy Bordin at 530-898-5250 or jbordin@csuchico.edu.
