Child Development Advisory Council

The Child Development Program Advisory Council was formed in 2005 and held its first meeting in January 2, 2006.  The group is comprised of CD faculty, staff, students, alumni, community college faculty, children’s agency personnel, and other interested persons.

The purposes of the advisory Council are to:

  • Communicate about issues related to the field of Child Development in this region.
  • Evaluate the organization, and “product” of the Child Development Program.
  • Identify opportunities for collaboration between the Program and child development programs in the region.
  • Promote the vitality and effectiveness of the Child Development program by identifying community needs to be addressed by the Child Development curriculum

The group meets at least once per year. Meetings are organized by the Chair of the Department of Child Development. For further information, call 898-5250.
