Who is this program designed for?
This program is in response to the needs of the Working Child Care Professional in the California North State region.  Those are areas served by the following Community Colleges: Butte, Feather River, Lassen, Shasta, Siskiyou, and Yuba

Completed Area A of General Education at a Community College

The Program meets the upper devision requirements of a major in Child Development and the upper division GE (theme).

What graduation requirements need to be completed elsewhere?
These courses will need to be completed at the community college before graduation.

  • Nine semester sequence including fall, spring and summer semesters
  •  Time: Online and Weekend
  • Delivery:  Face to face; online; two-way videoconferencing; or, combination of any of the above delivery methods

  • Advanced Dev. Theory:  Middle Childhood, Prenatal-Infant Development
  • Research Methods & Child Assessment
  • Professional Issues: Inclusion, ELL, Professional Development

  • Two Professional Internships with Support and Supervision

What other qualities might help me succeed?

  • Readiness to do upper division coursework (reading and writing skills)
