There may be some keypads with outdated versions of the software installed on them. You can check the version in the Setup Menu. If it is anything other than 0.4.7, go to the computer lab on the first floor of the Library and ask at the front desk.

We have also seen a number of keypads that are not registered correctly. The only valid characters are A-F and 0-9. See the section below on registering your keypad. You may want to double check your Device ID in the WebCT registration page.

Purchasing a keypad:

The keypads can be purchased at the AS Bookstore in the textbook department for $54 each plus tax. The clicker is the Turning Point Radio Frequency XR ResponseCard Keypad, item RCXR-01-ST. If you purchase through the AS Bookstore “TextLink” site, and have all of your books shipped, there will be a shipping charge for the total shipment. keypad LONGEVITY:

You will need only one keypad for all of your classes that require clickers. The keypad has a lifetime transferrable license, so you can use it for all of your classes during your time at Chico State or you may sell it back to the bookstore (within the bookstore buyback terms) when you no longer need it.

Lost/stolen keypad:

If your keypad was lost or stolen, you must purchase a new kepad from the bookstore and immediately register the new kepad. This will prevent the lost keypad from being misused.

Nonfunctioning keypad:

If your keypad isn't functioning correctly, you can get it replaced at the AS Book Store within the one-year warranty period. You must have your purchase receipt. Clickers not purchased through the bookstore cannot be replaced at the bookstore.
