Chicano/ Latino Council

Chicano/ Latino Council

The Chicano/ Latino Council (CLC) at California State University, Chico was formed by a group of Latino faculty and staff in 1993. The organization's goals are to address Chicano/ Latino concerns; further the understanding of the social and political climate in the Chicano/ Latino community; and promote cultural awareness, leadership development, and the academic and professional advancement of Chicanos/ Latinos. CLC acts as a resource and advisory body for individuals and groups to pursue Chicano/ Latino issues.

CLC meets meets on a regular basis throughout the academic year and also maintains communication with its members via e-mail.

We welcome all members of the Chico State staff, faculty, and administration who are interested in participating and willing to serve as active CLC members.

If you are interested in becoming a member or would like more information about CLC, please contact the Membership Coordinator Joanna Herrera at jherrera23@csuchico.edu.
