CLC has sponsored La Bienvenida since the early 1990s, with annual support from various sponsors, such as the Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion; the . This welcome reception for new Latinx students, faculty, administrators and staff brings the Latinx community together every Fall, acquainting new students, faculty, administrators and staff with campus departments, support organizations, music, food, Latinx culture, raffle prizes, friendly faces and equitable resources.
The next annual event will be held on Thursday, August 29 from 3:30 – 5:30 PM in CLSA 100. There will be free food, resources & prizes for all! Stay tuned for more information.

La Bienvenida 2019 Latinx Welcome Reception was held Thursday September 5th, 3:30-5:30 at Colusa Hall. Dr. Carolina Alvarado spoke about her journey into science education and Chico Sate alum DJ HecMoney worked the turn-tables.
2018 La Bienvenida- Latinx Welcome Reception was held Friday September 14th in the BMU Auditorium, 3:30- 5:30 pm, organized by the CLC 2018 Social Chair Elli Alaniz.
