Brief Biography:

From 1973 to 1985 I was the forensics coach for CSU Chico. In 1985 I began a three-year term as department Chair. From 1988-90 I served as a full professor with no administrative duties. 1990-91, I was interim chair for Journalism dept. From 1991 to 1997 I was Chair of the HCS (now CMAS) department. I am now a full-time professor in Communication Studies. I have co- authored three books. I have published in the areas of argumentation and debate and political communicaiton.
