Brief Biography:
Twenty-five years teaching and research experience at several different universities, including Illinois State University, Florida State University, Rutgers, Pace, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and CSUC. During the past 15 years at CSU Chico, I have received five different awards for research and professional achievement. My publications include over 30 refereed journal publications, one written book, and two edited books. My educational background includes a B.A. in Speech, an M.S. in Speech Communication, and a Ph.D. in Speech Communication. A considerable percentage of my course work and professional activity concerns psychological research relevant to communication studies.

Current Interests:
Academic Interests: The study of "organizational alignmen,t" which is the study of how personal interests can be made consistent with organizational objectives, thereby increasing an organizational member's commitment to the organization and, in turn, the organization to the individual.
Research Interests: Presently I am mostly interested in having published data sets already collected. Several of these concern the evaluation of instruction. Another major project is the completion of a basic text on organizational communication.
